Typhoon Yutu becomes seventh storm in East Sea

Typhoon Yutu yesterday afternoon entered the East Sea to become the seventh storm in the area this year, reported National Hydro Meteorological Forecasting Center.

At 4 a.m. this morning, the storm was about 650 kilometers east of the Hoang Sa (Paracel) Islands. Strongest winds near the eye of the storm reached level 11 moving 100-115 kilometers an hour.
In the next 24 hours, Yutu will move northwest at 10-15 kilometers an hour. By 4 a.m. on November 1, it will locate 510 kilometers east northeast of the Hoang Sa Islands with fury remaining unchanged.
Being affected by the typhoon, the northern part of the East Sea has been rough and choppy.
