Joint Venture to Produce Electricity from Garbage

A joint venture between Malaysia's PJ International Co. and Canada's LFGC Corporation will build a plant in Da Nang that will generate electricity using fuel from the city's garbage dump.

The plant, worth 6.6 million USD, will collect methane gas from the Khanh Son garbage dump in Lien Chieu District under international standards.

The city will receive 10 percent of the profit from electricity sold by the plant
