A signing ceremony on the establishment of the Microsoft Innovation Center (MIC) was held on February 22 at the Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Posts and Telecommunications.
According to Tran Cao Tinh, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Information Technology Training Center, the MIC’s primary task is to build up a cooperative network with its partners and many governmental organizations, aiming at actively working out strategic plans and developing technological tendency.
The MIC’s operation also aims at providing the necessary resources of information, modern technologies and well-trained human resources to manage, develop and assess technolocially innovative projects effectively, said Mr.Tinh.
With the support of the Microsoft’s technologies, the MIC will encourage creative inventions as well as sufficient solutions for the computer network’s improvement.
The ceremony was attended by Nguyen Thien Nhan, Deputy Chairman of People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and Peter Moore, Regional Managing Director, Microsoft Asia Pacific.
