Vietnamese students scoop awards at IYIE

Vietnamese students won two sepcial prizes, one gold, three silver, and one bronze medals at the 2014 International Youth Invention Exhibition (IYIE) that took place in Taiwan (China) on January 21-23.

Students Tran Van Anh and Nguyen Minh Quang won a gold medal and a special prize from the Hong Kong Invention Associationfor their inevntion “Oil Spill Cleanup by Natural Sorbent from Corncobs”

Students Dinh Lam Nghi and Pham Quang Vu  won a silver medal and also a special prize from the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA) for their invention “ELP – Easy Learning Programming” .

Two silver medals also belonged to Nguyen Manh Duc Tuan’s “Electricity Saving Software and Swindmap”; and Luong The Minh Quang’s “ When education meet social network”.

Students come from the Gifted High School of the Vietnam National University Hanoi and Nguyen Du 2 junior high school in Hanoi.

The annual competition co-organized by WIIPA and Taiwan’s Far East University. aims to promote an international exchange of creativity by inspiring young people around the world to invent, nurture their creativity, and fully express their creative ideas.
