Vietnamobile phone numbers officially conversed from 11-digit to 10-digit
The prefixes 0186 and 0188 are changed to 056 and 058 respectively. The last 7 digits will remain the same.

From September 15, 2018 to November 14, 2018, Vietnamobile’s subscribers are able to use both the old and new numbers to make phone calls and send messages. From November 15, 2018 to June 30, 2019, there will be automatic recorded guidance for customers to use the new phone numbers. And from July 1, 2019 on, callers will receive the notice ‘wrong number’ if they still dial the old numbers.

Vietnamobile said that they would wholeheartedly support all subscribers in this conversion time. This means their system will automatically change old to new 10-digit numbers without the interference of customers.

All these newly changed numbers can still register for any services offered by Vietnamobile such as 3G or 4G, as well as all value added services (VAS).

They are also eligible for monthly promotion programs of Vietnamobile, and their accounts, along with current subscribed services, are kept the same.

Before this conversion happens, Vietnamobile will send a notice message to all its subscribers.

Vietnamobile hopes that its customers will cooperate with the company to make this conversion a success. This means subscribers should update their new numbers to other related services like banks, health care, insurance, phone books of their friends and relatives. The settings of certain software such as Facebook / Zalo / Whatsapp / Momo should be updated as well.
