* Viet Nam’s top badminton player, Nguyen Tien Minh, exited the Aviva Open Singapore 2007 yesterday after a 0-2 loss (15-21, 16-21) to Alamsyah from Indonesia, whom Tien Minh had beaten two years ago in the Aviva Open Jakarta.

In the previous round, sixth-seeded Tien Minh, who is ranked 57th in the world, defeated Singapore’s Wei Kiat Aaron with ease (21-14, 21-15).  

The Vietnamese star will go straight to Indonesia for the Djarum Super Series 2007 starting next Monday.
