Nguyen Tien Minh at Qualifiers in Malaysia for Badminton’s PMO 2008

Vietnamese badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh is to compete in the qualification rounds of the Proton Malaysia Open (PMO) 2008. Due to the intensity of competition, Vietnamese fans are anxious to see Minh make the main rounds early instead of climbing too many preliminary rounds. 

Proton Malaysia Open 2008 will be held over January 15-20
The 42nd world seed player has been on training seriously in Singapore for the premiere tournaments of the Badminton World Federation (BWF), PMO 2008. 
Minh is go up again Indian Chetan Anand (50th world seed) in his first qualification round.

If successful, he would meet again Thai Poompat Sapkulchananart (47th world seed) who Minh knocked out of the 24th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

Next would then be a rough match again Brit’ Andrew Smith (33rd world seed).
The PMO 2008, the first major tournament organized by the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) this year, will be held over January 15-20 at the Putra Stadium, National Sports Complex, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The tournament is to see 60 world players compete in five categories, Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
