Vietnamese bodybuilders take 2 golds in Asia c’ships

Vietnam ranked third after Iran and UAE in the Asia Bodybuilding Championships held in Thailand from August 13-16 thanks to two gold medals in the 10 categories of the tournament.

Vietnam’s Pham Van Mach defended his number one position in the 55 kg category, beating 12 other athletes in this competition on Aug. 16.

This is Mach’s fifth Asian title in the past six years.

In the 70 kg category, Nguyen Van Lam was the best among the 14 competing bodybuilders. This gold medal was his first gold in Asian tournaments so far.

With two golds, Vietnam ranked higher than Iraq and Malaysia (with one gold each). Vietnam also came first in the Southeast Asia.
