Vietnam’s biggest motorbike race to kick off

The 2nd Vietnam Motor Cub Prix 2011 is scheduled for October 29 - 30 in the southern province of Binh Duong, announced the Vietnam Cycling and Motor Sport Federation yesterday.

The tournament will include 96 racers from 19 motorbike racing teams across the country such as the Rebel USD Racing Team, Thanh Dat Racing Boy, Hung Linh and Ut Mien Dong.

This is the first time the organisers are allowing racers to compete riding the 125cc Notus SI125R powered by a four-stroke engine.

The 2nd Vietnam Motor Cub Prix is the biggest race of its kind ever held in Vietnam with total prize money amounting to almost VND200 million (US$9,600).

The first Motor Club Prix race was held in central coastal city of Da Nang last July.
