HCMC proposes ministries to attend its metro appraisal council

Ho Chi Minh City has proposed the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Information and Communications to send experts to attend the city’s appraisal council for technical design of the second metro line, Ben Thanh-Tham Luong, to increase efficiency and reduce time of appraisal.

Compensation, resettlement for second metro line to finish in mid-2020

HCMC People’s Committee has assigned the city Urban Railway Management Board to take the initiative in working with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to soon reach a consensus on the compensation and resettlement policy for the second metro line, Ben Thanh-Tham Luong, said the board on December 25.

Deputy PM requires ministries to increase investment for HCMC metro projects

Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung has required the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Transport, HCMC People’s Committee and relevant agencies to seriously implement the instruction by the Politburo to increase the total investment capital of the first and second metro lines, Ben Thanh-Suoi Tien and Ben Thanh-Tham Luong.
