Dien Bien upgrades relics of historic Dien Bien Phu battle

The People’s Committee of the northern mountainous province of Dien Bien has approve a project to upgrade a number of relic sites on the former battlefield of the historic Dien Bien Phu campaign as the 65th anniversary of the victory nears (May 7, 1954-2019).

One of the colonizers who explored new lands to contribute to the development of the north –west region is Dr. Tran Le. The war veteran is known as the owner of “Cherry blossom island” in Muong Phang commune, Dien Bien district, the northwestern province of Dien Bien.

Cherry blossom festival returns to Dien Bien

A cherry blossom festival took place in Pa Khoang commune, Dien Bien district, the northwestern province of Dien Bien on January 11 – 13, 2019.

$132,003 raised for flood-hit northern provinces

To share difficulties and losses with local people in the flood-hit northern mountainous provinces, especially Yen Bai, Son La, Lai Chau and Dien Bien, the Party Committee in the central city of Da Nang made appeals for donation to these localities.
