HCMC aiming at becoming specialized medical center of ASEAN

Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Department of Health Tang Chi Thuong yesterday had an interview with SGGP about the future direction of his department. The highest priority is to heavily focus on technological development in general hospitals of the city so that these places can keep up with their counterparts in the region.

HCMC successfully applies high technologies in healthcare services

Thanks to the leading of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Party Committee, HCMC Health Department has achieved impressive results, especially when implementing cutting edge technologies in the fight against Covid-19 pandemic, said Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of HCMC Health Department Tran Van Xoi in his summary report for the period from 2015-2020.

HCMC prepares isolation areas with nearly 24,000 beds

HCMC Department of Health is working with the HCMC High Command to organize isolation areas with 22,998 beds. In addition, districts have been preparing their isolation areas with 798 beds as well as separate quarantine facilities to isolate those testing positive for Covid-19 to prevent cross infection.
