Supermarkets extend opening hours for Tet holidays

According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, to meet the shopping demand of the city dwellers during the festive season, enterprises in the price stabilization program, including Co.opmart, BigC, Aeon, Citimart-Aeon, VinMart, and Lotte Mart, have made plans to open earlier and extend their opening hours during the days before the lunar New Year.

Mekong Delta farmers sell out 80 percent of flower production for Tet holidays

Preliminary statistics showed that although it is still nearly two weeks until the lunar New Year, it is estimated that around 80 percent of flower production at Cho Lach District in the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre has been sold with prices higher than those in the same period last year by 5-10 percent upwards.

Mr. Vo Trung Thanh, Chairman of the Shaped Fruits Club in Phu Tri A Hamlet in Phu Tan Commune in Hau Giang Provine’s Chau Thanh District, said that more than 10,000 wine-gourd-shaped pomelos and word-imprinted mangoes have been ordered by dealers across the country.
