The Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control held this morning an urgent meeting to carry out searching and rescue missions at Rao Trang 3 hydropower plant landslide in Thua Thien- Hue Province as well as verify, approach the landslide site at the Defense Economics Division 337 under the Military Region 4 of the Vietnam People's Army.
The Standing Office of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control informed that floodwater forced about 8,024 households with 26,407 people in the provinces from Quang Binh to Quang Nam to evacuate because torrential rains are forecast to continue in the coming days.
