Digital economy to constitute one-third of national GDP in 2030

Vietnam has established the goal to boost the digital economy share in the national GDP to 20 percent in 2025 and to 30 percent 5 years later, according to the newly released Resolution No.52 NQ/TW of the Politburo, which was signed on September 27 by Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong on ‘guidelines and policies to actively participate in Industry 4.0’.

Vietnam Digital Transformation Alliance formally formed

The Vietnam Digital Transformation Alliance (VDTA), comprising of giant domestic information & communications technology (ICT) companies and research institutes, made its debut yesterday in Hanoi. Members of this alliance include FPT Group, Viettel, VNPT, CMC, VNG, Hai Hoa Co., MobiFone, VSII, VINASA, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
