The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines (VNA) announced that it has cancelled flights and amended flight plans on local routes from and to Vinh Airport in the north central coastal province of Nghe An on January 7 because of weather issues.
Vietnam Airlines is set to add more flights on its domestic routes to meet increasing travel demand, said a representative of the national flag carrier.
Transport Minister Nguyen Van The has just sent a letter to praise significant efforts of Vietnam’s aviation industry in proactively coordinating with the authorities in the Covid-19 pandemic fight, sending Vietnamese experts and citizens home.
It is expected that 13 flights will carry Vietnamese citizens from Japan, the United States, France, Canada, Russia, Spain, Singapore home in the upcoming days.
