The National Expanded Immunization Program (NEIP) yesterday announced there is a decline of children who have been vaccinated against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), hepatitis B, and Haemophilus influenza type B.

Around 16,269 kindergartners ( or 25 percent of total city kids) in Ho Chi Minh City have not been vaccinated against five common, potentially fatal diseases affecting infants – diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, hepatitis B and Haemophilus influenza type B and this triggers increase in infection cases of these diseases, said the municipal Center of Preventive Health.
