In his dispatch 1244/CĐ-TTg, Vietnamese Prime Minister urged to complete site clearance for the North-South highway construction project in the period 2017-2020 and the transport sector’s key projects in this year’s fourth quarter.
Just 77 percent of the massive anti-flooding project has been completed because of site clearance hindrance, said Director of Trungnam Group Nguyen Tam Tien at a meeting with city leaders and a delegation of officials who observed its construction and listen to reports from the builder yesterday.
The Ho Chi Minh City – Moc Bai expressway will be built under the PPP (Public-Private Partnership) format with estimated cost of VND10,456 billion ($450.7) million, as per a the project management board’s proposal to the Ministry of Transport.
Premise clearance is one of the priorities carried out in the second quarter of 2018 by the Party Committee of Thu Duc District in Ho Chi Minh City. This activity is also in the pilot plan to effectively implement the special mechanisms for the development of the city.
Site clearance for construction of Long Thanh International Airport is expected to complete before 2021, said leaders of Long Thanh district People’s Committee in the southern province of Dong Nai yesterday.
The VND10 trillion (US$442.46 million) anti-flooding project is scheduled to be built next April but so far 335 households, 20 organizations and businesses have not removed to clear the site for building embankments.
