HCMC determines to encourage AI development

Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) People’s Committee has just organized a meeting about strategy planning for the national Artificial Intelligence (AI) development and preparation tasks for the upcoming Vietnam AI Festival 2020. The meeting revealed the municipal authorities’ strong will to boost AI programs in the city.

HCMC determinedly promotes IC industry

The integrated circuit (IC) industry of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) has witnessed much development since 2017 thanks to a series of successful products that were able to attract attention of leading experts in the field. However, lately, there seems to be a decrease in this growth speed, asking the municipal authorities to adjust direction and introduce more practical policies to effectively boost the industry.

Updated application for urban planning in HCMC activated

Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Department of Planning and Architecture has just finished updating the application ‘HCMC Urban Planning Information’ and launched a new application named ‘Planning Management in HCMC’ online as well as in app stores.

HCMC putting all energy into aiding ICT businesses for smart city transformation

The Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) People’s Committee this morning organized the award ceremony for winners of its 11th Information – Communications Technology (ICT) contest, themed ‘Journey to Become a Smart City’, in celebration of the Festival for IT and AI Businesses. On this occasion, Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong shared his thoughts on the current smart city establishment project.

Common database in HCMC ready for public access

The Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Department of Information and Communications is going to submit the Integrated Regulations to Manage, Operate, and Exploit the Shared Database to the HCMC People’s Committee next week.
