Building material market in Ho Chi Minh City has seen the prices of steel, stone, cement, bricks, flooring tiles and decorating tiles increasing strongly although demand declined due to a slowdown in construction, especially civil building projects as well as key projects were less inaugurated than before.

Construction of underground parking lots still sluggish

Since Ho Chi Minh City authorities have strongly committed to keeping sidewalk order; changes have seen. However, because of shortage of underground parking lot, vehicles still park in sidewalks causing traffic jam meanwhile parking lot projects, especially underground ones, are being run slowly.

Construction of Vam Sat No.2 Bridge starts

The Urban Traffic Management Board No. 4 under the HCMC Department of Transport yesterday started the construction of Vam Sat No.2 Bridge spanning Vam Sat River in Ly Nhon commune of outlying Can Gio district, HCMC.

Infrastructure to aid Mekong development

Construction of two bridges linking Cao Lanh City and Lap Vo District in Dong Thap Province and Dong Thap with Can Tho, which are under way, will be a big boost to transportation and connectivity in the Mekong Delta.
