The Department of Transport of Dong Thap Province yesterday informed that Cao Lanh ferry connecting Cao Lanh City and Lap Vo District through Tien River was officially ceased its operation of carrying means of transport and passengers from mid-night on August 24.

Embassy launches photo competition for first anniversary of Cao Lanh bridge

The Australian Embassy in Vietnam yesterday launched a photo competition to celebrate the first anniversary of the opening of Cao Lanh Bridge, Australia’s largest single development aid investment in mainland South East Asia, and to highlight the positive impact of the bridge on the Mekong Delta region.

More than 10 transport works put into use in nine months

The Ministry of Transport (MoT) put into operation 13 works and projects in the first nine months of this year, including major ones such as Cao Lanh Bridge and Da Nang-Quang Ngai Expressway.

Cao Lanh ‘Friendship’ Bridge officially opens

The Cao Lanh Bridge and its inter-connecting roads, a joint funding partnership between the Vietnamese Government, the Australian Government and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), as part of the Central Mekong Delta Region Connectivity Project, officially opened to traffic today.

The final segment of the Cao Lanh Bridge crossing the Tien River, in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap, was slotted into place at a ceremony held by the provincial People’s Committee and the Cuu Long Corporation For Investment, Development and Project Management of Infrastructure (Cuu Long CIPM) on September 1.
