Massive fishes die in upstream Sai Gon River

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Binh Duong Province in coordination with the functional agencies yesterday performed an investigation to determine the cause of mass abnormal fish deaths on the surface of the water at fish framings on Sai Gon River in Dau Tieng District, Binh Duong Province.

The National Center for Hydro-meteorology Forecasting reported that the southwest monsoon across the Southern and Central Highlands regions are getting stronger today, triggering medium- heavy rains and thunderstorms along with risks of cyclone, lightning and whirlwind.

Uninterrupted downpour, thunderstorm drench HCMC, Southern region

The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center said that the first storm circulation along with a range of tropical convergence yesterday triggered medium- heavy downpours in some places of the Northern region such as the capital city of Hanoi and Hai Phong City, Bac Giang and Phu Tho provinces after the storm made landfall in Guangdong Province of China.

A long- lasting torrential rain has happened in two provinces of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa on the large scale since the midnight of October 9, causing four dead and missing. 
Heavy rains is forecast to occur in the southern provinces on the large scale.

Downpour hits southern region

The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center reported that the south-central, central highlands and southern region continue experiencing medium- heavy rains, cyclone, thunderstorm, lighting and powerful wind on the large scale from October 2-4.
