Typhoon Damrey leaves Khanh Hoa VND13.5 trillion damage

The central province of Khanh Hoa alone suffered damage VND13.5 trillion (US$594.48 million) with the worst hit being seafood farming in the aftermath of Typhoon Damrey, making landfall in the south central region of Vietnam early this month.

South central coast unattractive to Japanese businesses

Over 2,500 Japanese businesses invested in Vietnam in 2016, however, they mainly concentrated in Hanoi, HCMC and Da Nang while the number was limited in the south central coast, said Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Kunio Umeda yesteday.

A serious bomb explosion occurred in Khanh Son district, the central province of Khanh Hoa this morning, killing six people including three children at the scene, said chairman of the district’s People Committee Dinh Ngoc Binh.
