The Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) states that in the upcoming academic year, universities in Vietnam must stop using unsuitable subject combinations to accept new students. Neither can they lower admission grades to attract more people. Autonomy is encouraged among these educational institutes, as long as they are able to ensure admission and training quality.
The educational organization Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) announced its World University Rankings 2019 (QS World) for 1,011 top universities in the world. This is the first time two Vietnamese universities appear in the list.
Two Vietnamese universities have secured places on a list of the top 150 universities in Asia, compiled by London-based education consultancy Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).
