While the Southern region and Ho Chi Minh City are facing a scorching wave with the highest temperature of 34 degrees Celsius, the Northern region is forecast to experience a cold air mass. 

The National Center for Hydro-meteorology Forecasting and warning centers in the Asia-Pacific region predicted that storm Dujuan will quickly downgrade to a tropical low pressure system and dissipate at sea when it enters the East Sea this week.

Many cities in the Southern region will suffer from extreme harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation in a range of red- color zone in the next three days, according to the National Center for Hydro-meteorology Forecasting. 

Air pollution in the capital city of Hanoi and most parts of the Northern provinces and cities continues to be more serious due to fine-dust fogging blanket in two recent days. 

According to the Southern Hydrometeorology Station, unseasonable rains have recently battered Ho Chi Minh City although the rainy season in the Southern region usually ends in mid- November. 

According to the latest weather news from the National Center for Hydro-meteorology Forecasting, a tropical low-pressure system has developed into new storm Etau and been forecast to move toward mainland provinces from Phu Yen to Ninh Thuan in the next couple of days. 

The National Center for Hydro-meteorology Forecasting informed that typhoon Goni entered the East Sea and downgraded from level 17 to level 14 after travelling through the Central Philippines. 

As of last night, an extreme cold wave has travelled the Northern region and expected to continue triggering heavy rainfall in the Central region where vast areas of land have been submerged under floodwater for the last several days and hundreds of people have been reported dead and missing.

The National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center reported that cold air mass triggered fog and drizzle in the Northern region last night.

According to the latest news from the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center, both the Central Highlands and Southern regions are expected to experience sunny daytime with less rainfall, notably the Southeastern region is warned of weltering temperature during this week.
