Authorities in the central and central highlands region need to prevent flash floods and landslides which caused by prolonged heavy rains, issued the National Center for Hydro Meteorological Forecasting.
The National Center for Hydro Meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF) said from today until August 18, the northern and north central region will see torrential rains. The rainfall is expected to reach 250mm to 350mm.
The National Center for Hydro Meteorological Forecasting said from July 19 to 20, heavy rains will hit the northern mountainous provinces and the north western region including Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai and Son La.
The National Center for Hydro Meteorological Forecasting said possible flash floods, landslides are forecast to occur in the northern province of Hoa Binh’s Luong Son, Da Bac, Kim Boi, Lac Son, Cao Phong, Lac Thuy and Tan Lac districts.
