The annual Nghinh Ong (Whale Worshiping) Festival 2020 in HCMC’s Can Gio District will take place on September 30 - October 2 under strict preventive measures against the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, announced deputy secretary of the Can Gio District’s Party Committee, Doan Thi Ngoc Cam.

Kate festival recognized as national intangible cultural heritage

A ceremony receving the certificate in recognition of Kate festival, the most important event of the Cham ethnic group, as a national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was held at the Po Klong Garai Cham Temple Towers near the city of Phan Rang-Thap Cham in Ninh Thuan Province on October 19.
