Sixteen airlines, including 14 foreign ones, signed an agreement to begin direct flights to Phu Bai International Airport in Hue at a conference held in the central city on August 23.

Mr Charin, a representative of Thailand’s Air People International airlines, said the carriers should first begin charter or seasonal flights before introducing permanent services.
The city should organize unique and interesting tours simplify procedures for visitors to enter the country, he said, adding many of his firm’s clients canceled their trips due to this problem.
The conference, organized by the province People’s Committee to discuss ways to attract foreign airlines to Hue and promote tourism, was attended by executives from 33 foreign carriers and tour firms and the 10 biggest Vietnamese tourist companies.
