A Bombardier CRJ900 NextGen regional jet of Canada made a one-hour long performance in Ha Noi on September 10 before traveling to HCMC yesterday for another show, according to the Canadian Embassy in Viet Nam.
19 guests were invited to board the plane which departed from HCMC to Con Son airport on the Con Dao Island in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau and then returned.
The performance is a part of the promotional activities including participation of the Asian Aeronautics and Space Exhibition 2007 in Hong Kong early this month by the Bombardier Company in Asia and the Pacific region.
The CRJ900 with a seating capacity of 86-90 is 36 meters long and has a span of 25 meters. The jet from Canada will make a tour around the world to promote its image to the public. Before arriving in Viet Nam, the CRJ900 held a performance in Bangkok, Thailand.
Montreal-based Bombardier Inc., in Canada is well known for manufacturing both regional jets and turbine aircrafts, which can carry from 37 to 100 passengers at low cost.
The group is also the global leader in the rail equipment manufacturing and servicing industry. Its wide range of products includes passenger rail vehicles and total transit systems. It also manufactures locomotives, bogies, propulsion & controls and provides rail control solutions.
Last week Ha Noi’s people enjoyed the exciting performance by the A380, the largest passenger aircraft ever to land at the Noi Bai International Airport.
