At this event, Can Tho International Airport welcomed the first direct flight AK 575 departing from Kuala Lumpur to the city.
Accordingly, four weekly flights from Can Tho to Kuala Lumpur and vice versa will be exploited on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
The exploitation is expected to strengthen trade, economy and tourism between Can Tho city and Kuala Lumpur, as well as connect local people living in the Mekong Delta and the Southeast Asian region.
Currently, there are three international air routes to Taiwan (China), Bangkok (Thailand) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) at the Can Tho International Airport.
From April 8- 21, AirAsia has offered a promotional price for the flights departing from April 8 to September with one-way cheap ticket at VND 730,000 including tax and other additional fee.
