Delta province promotes tourism potential

To promote tourism in the Mekong Delta, Ben Tre’s tourism is concentrating on nature tourism through the Vinh Thanh project in Cho Lach District, said Ho Vinh Binh, general director of Ben Tre Tourism Co.

The 1.8-hectare project will include a convalescent home, souvenir shops, coffee shops and pleasure boats.

Experts have spoken highly of the tourism potential in Ben Tre Province, as it has a coast, forests, gardens and rivers, as well as a healthy ecology.

Ben Tre has many rivers and canals. It is also has the largest coconut area in Vietnam.

The province's Cai Mon town is home to many bonsai garden famous for their products.

With advantages of nature, green strips and fruit gardens, Ben Tre has favorable conditions to develop green tourism, Mr. Binh said.
