The Lam Dong Tourist Company launched a unique tourist attraction three months ago at the Datanla Waterfall – a roller-coaster ride through nature.
Two-seater cars carry visitors over the 1 km long route, meandering through pine forests and gradually descending 200 meters or so from the top of the falls to the bottom. Once there, riders are then brought back up to their original starting point.
The ride features 48 cars in total, each equipped with hand brakes allowing riders to vary the speed. Tickets cost VND30, 000 per ride.
The light rail system was installed and will be maintained by Germany’s Weigend Company. The novel attraction has already drawn large numbers of visitors there.
Datanla is one of the most famous waterfalls in Viet Nam, set in the majestic beauty of the central highlands. The waterfall is located in the middle of the Prenn Pass, about five kilometers from Da Lat City, in Lam Dong Province.
The falls cascade from a height of more than one hundred meters before reaching the river below.
