Germany Aids Sustainable Management of Phong Nha-Ke Bang Heritage

The project of restoration and sustainable management of natural resources in Phong Nha-Ke Bang national park area in now under implementation with aid from Germany worth Euro 12.63 million.

The project was deployed by German GFA Consultant Company in January 2006. It is aimed to maintain the biological association in Quang Binh area, to support the development of buffer zone and protect natural resources in Phong Nha-Ke Bang national park.

Besides the project also facilitates sustainable protection of the heritage values, land allotment, forestry management, tourism development, preservation of natural bio-diversity, productivity and the association of forestall areas which of state-run plantations, efficient law enforcement to decrease illegal exploitation of forest, poaching and trade of wild animals.
