HCMC- Con Dao express boat to be launched in 2018

Greenlines DP Company proposed the operation for the route Ho Chi Minh and Con Dao Island, off the southern Ba Ria – Vung Tau province which is planned to launch in 2018.

Greenline DP Company, which is operating hydrofoils plying the HCMC – Vung Tau City, proposed more boats for the river bus route stretching from Ho Chi MInh City to its outlying districts Cu Chi, Can Gio.
The boat can carry 136 people for the route from city downtown to Can Gio district. The trip cost VND150,000-200,000 ($6.6-8.8) per person. It takes the ships 75 minutes to go between the two destinations in good weather.
Additionally, in October, the river bus route No.1 set to connect Bach Dang Port in District 1 with Linh Dong Ward in Thu Duc Distric will be officially put into operation after one month pilot with the fare of VND15,000 a person.
The route stretching from Bach Dang to Lo Gom in District 8, measuring 10.3 kilometers, is anticipated to begin in 2018 also.
