Local carriers not allowed to start selling tickets without permission

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has asked local carriers to start selling tickets for flights planned to depart from April 16 only after receiving permission.

Domestic airlines including Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Jetstar Pacific Airlines, Bamboo Airways have been required to limit the number of flights in accordance with the Prime Minister’s Directive No.16 on COVID-19 prevention and control.
The carriers can send their proposals on granting the Permit to fly from April 16-30 to the CAAV on April 14.
The CAAV’s decision has been launched after airlines informed that they will return the normal on local routes starting on April 16. Carriers have canceled their announcements and temporarily suspended flights on both domestic and international routes until further notice due to the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, but a few special domestic destinations.
