Vietnam issues pilot E-visa program for 35 more countries

According to the Government Decree 17/2019/ND-CP dated February 1, 2019, Vietnam issued a pilot electronic visa (E-visa) program for 35 more countries.

Particularly, citizens of Austria, Iceland, Belgium, Portugal, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Qatar, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Croatia, Estonia, Fiji, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Macedonia, Micronesia, Mexico, Moldova , Montenegro, Nauru, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Marshall Islands, Salomon Islands, San Marino, Cyprus, Switzerland, China (citizens with Hong Kong  and Macau passports, and inapplicable for citizens with Chinese electronic ordinary passports), Vanuatu, Western Samoa, Serbia, Slovenia could entry or exit Vietnam through the E- visa. 

Additionally, three international border gates of Tay Trang (Dien Bien province), Na Meo (Thanh Hoa province) and La Lay (Quang Tri province), and two maritime gateways as Duong Dong Port (Kien Giang province) and Chan May Port (Thua Thien- Hue province) were also allowed arrivals  by E- visa. 

Up to now, there are total 16 border gates and nine maritime gates to allow foreigners enter and exit Vietnam by E-visa.
