VNA cuts flight prices by 70 percent

The state-owned carrier Vietnam Airlines (VNA) said September 16 it would cut ticket prices by 60 to 70 percent for all flights from the beginning of next month to the end of January, 2010.

Passengers can buy tickets from October 1 to 20 at VNA’s agents or by accessing its website.

Tickets are non-refundable.

This is the biggest promotion by VNA so far in its history.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Yen, director of VNA’s southern branch, this promotion is expected to boost domestic tourism demand and attract more foreign visitors to Vietnam during the peak tourism season from November to March.
