Tuition fee at high-quality public schools in Hanoi risen to US$220 per month

Parents of high – quality public primary and senior high schoolers will pay more tuition fee for the next academic year which has risen to VND5.5 million (US$220) per month and VND5.7 million per month respectively.

However, tuition fee of preschoolers and junior high schoolers maintained the same like the school year 2019-2020 at VND5.1 million and VND5.3 million a month respectively.
Hanoi People’s Council yesterday approved the resolution to raise tuition fee in high-quality public school in the capital city in the next academic year 2020-2021.
The monthly tuition fee per pupil at the 14 best educational institutions in the city will increase by VND400,000.
Of 14 above-mentioned institutions, seven are preschool, two primary schools and four junior high schools and one senior high school, said Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Chu Xuan Dung.
According to the Department of Culture- Society’s report, the Hanoi People’s Council agreed with the People’s Committee’s proposal to raise tuition fee to improve educational facility and teachers’ income as well as apply advanced teaching methods.
